4형식으로 쓸수없는 동사 say, suggest, allege, propose, introduce, describe, explain

1형식: 완전자동사                 SV

2형식: 불완전자동사 + 보어  SVC

3형식: 완전타동사 + 목적어  SVO

4형식: 수여동사(~해 주다) + Sb간접목적어(에게) + Sth직접목적어(을/를) SVOO 

 

오늘은 4형식에 대해 자세히 알아보겠습니다.

 

1. 4형식 대표동사 give, ask, teach, tell, show, bring, make

뭔가를 해주는 동사, 수여동사 입니다.

 

I gave my dog some meat.

He asked me a question.

She teached me english.

Grandfather told me an interesting story. 

The painter showed us some drawings.

I brought her a beautiful dress.

He made me a cup of tea.

 

 

그 외에도

lend, send, offer, hand, promise,

write, buy, get, cook, build, find, choose 등

 

모든 동사가 수여동사가 될수 있나? 안되는 동사가 있다. 7번에서 설명.

 

4형식 <->  3형식 전환 가능

위치를 바꿀때 전치사 사용한다.

give, show, send, teach류는 전치사 to

buy, make, get, build류는 전치사 for

ask류는 전치사 of

 

 

3. give 형식전환 할때, 전치사to 사용

He gave a pen to me. <3형식>

He gave me a pen.     <4형식>

 

 

4. teach (1형식, 3형식, 4형식, 5형식 가능), 전치사to 사용

<1형식> He teaches at this school.

<4형식> He teaches us math at this school.

<3형식> He teaches math to us at this school.

teach는 <5형식>도 가능.

 

동사를 하나의 형태로 믿어버리면 안된다.

 

 

5. bring + to[for] O : 의미가 다르다

I brought a beautiful dress to her.  그녀에게

I brought a beautiful dress for her. 그녀를 위해

 

6. ask +직접목적어가 question, favor 일때 전치사 of 를 쓴다.

 

7. SVOO문형 동사로 헷갈리기 쉬운 동사 (주의!) SAPIDE 4형식안되고 3형식만 됨. 4형식을 피해야 하는 동사

say, sugget, allege(주장하다), propose, introduce, describe(묘사하다), explain

 

I say the story.              (가능)

I say to you the story.   (가능)

I say the story to you.   (가능)

I say you the story        (불가능)

 

I tell you the story. <대표4형식>

 

8. explain

He explained his opinion to me. 가능

He explained to me his opinion. 위치 바뀌어도 가능

He explained to me what the situation was. 에서 to me 가 문장 맨뒤로 가게되면 의미가 달라지므로 해석 주의.

He explained me his opinion (불가능)(4형식 피해야 하는 동사 이므로 안됨.)

 

4형식이 안되는 동사. 목적어 2개가 올수없는 동사라는 것을 기억하세요.
